Great local scene. Always welcoming. They work hard to keep the scene inclusive. They make it accessible for dancers to keep improving their skills through classes. I love the rotation of DJ’s, as it keeps song choices fresh and you get to discover a variety of artists and styles. They also try to diversify the dances on the scene. They encourage styles like blues, charleston, balboa. Even when I disappear for months, returning to RJ always feels like a homecoming.

Rhythm Junction on Monday nights is always a highlight of my week! I’ve been dancing for 10 years and it’s still my favorite place get down with my local lindy hop pals because the music is exceptional. They host a variety of DJ’s who bring their own flavor to the evening, often featuring different subgenres of jazz so there’s something for everyone. Plus, the dancers at RJ are happy and goofy and super friendly. Sometimes if my workday was a real bummer, I’ll haul my sad butt to RJ because I know I can count on those good vibes. I always leave in a great mood and usually with some new friends!

I ❤️ going to Rhythm Junction! I love getting a mini date night with my husband and catching up with 80 of our closest friends!  The DJs are super awesome at picking music in varying speeds so dancers can enjoy an easy dance or challenge themselves! Everyone should come no matter the skill level. See you on Monday!

Cozy and welcoming, Rhythm Junction is where I discovered a love of movement and partner dancing. It’s also the best place in the Twin Cities to meet people who are dedicated to Lindy Hop as an art form.
